The idea for InDallas.net began in June 2007 when founder Rocky Ahmann, a 10-year veteran of the Dallas Internet Service Provider (ISP) market, was laid off for the 4th time.
He took stock of his situation and realized that even though he was a proven and effective salesperson and had chosen only quality companies to represent, he would never be able to remain with any ISP for long. His conundrum was this: the more successful the ISP became, the faster the company and his customers were bought and he found himself unemployed. And even more frustratingly, never did a customer tell him that the service improved with the acquisition. In fact, he heard quite the contrary.
Rocky realized that ultimately both he and his customers suffered in this cycle. He could believe in his employer and satisfy his customers with outstanding service, but any successful ISP would probably be managed by an entirely different company within the next two years. He would be left without a job and his customers would no longer have the great service he sold them in the first place.

InDallas.net selects only the best ISPs and data centers to represent. We become their sales force and they pay us a commission instead of accruing the expense of fulltime salespersons - salary, insurance, office space, advertising, computer, phones, etc. You'll pay the same rate you would if you found the ISP or data center on your own and will deal with them directly for billing or technical issues, but you'll have an advocate with InDallas.net.
